Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions

No, sorry. It's not profitable for us.

Our tourist transporter license does not allow us to go to the airport to pick up or bring our clients to the airport. Only taxis are authorized to do this.

Yes, we have masks and snorkels, but no fins. However, we recommend that our customers have their own diving equipment due to the still existing Covid, gastroenteritis and flu epidemics.

Generally, we offer a good Polynesian lunch. However, we can offer vegan, vegetarian, kosher, gluten-free, seafood-free and fish-free menus whenever possible. You will need to notify us at the time of booking.

No, sorry because we have a limited number of places in our canoes.

No. Although this site is not far from the Pearl Farm Marina, it is nevertheless located inland. You will need to take a safari tour to visit this site. On the other hand, we will visit the Pearl Farm, included in our circuit, unlike the major tour operators. In addition, if you go there by yourself, you will have to pay for the Ferme Perlière shuttle to get there.

No, our canoes are not designed for the high seas. Furthermore, we would need a special license for this type of activity.

No, only snorkeling at a depth of 2 or 3 meters.

You'll be lucky if you see one during your tour. In the Huahine lagoon, we encounter very few sharks. The noise of the engine frightens them. As for rays, you will see leopard rays and stingrays especially from March to June. No manta rays. For whales, you can come across them in the lagoon in September and October, but no swimming with them. There are regulations regarding them and we are not allowed to swim with them.

Our canoes are not equipped with descent platforms. Our clients enter the water via ladders on the side of the canoe and climb back in the same way. Also, we do not recommend our tours to these people for their own safety unless they insist. They will then have to sign a release which removes all liability from us in the event of an accident.

No, only in Pacific Francs

Yes, our tours are free for children under 2 years old. For other children, of course, but they will pay the same rates as adults and parents will have to supervise them. In addition, for parents of young children, they will need to bring drinks and food for their children because once the tour begins, we will not be able to stop to get them something to eat. (It's already happened!!!) Our canoes are equipped with a roof which will protect babies from the sun.

It is up to the captain of the boat to decide whether the tour is maintained or not. It has happened that tourists coming from far away have insisted on taking the tour despite unfavorable weather. As long as there is a minimum of 5 people for the tour and the situation is not too bad, we do the excursion. But if the weather is very bad or if the swell is too strong despite a bright sun (yellow or red warning), we will be obliged to cancel the tour for the safety of the boats and passengers. Otherwise, the insurance will not cover us in the event of an accident. We generally check the weather forecast the day before and notify our customers as soon as possible. Above all, we ask our customers to do the sun dance in good weather on the roof of their bungalow until midnight! A word of advice: avoid coming to Polynesia during the rainy season: January/February so as not to have unpleasant surprises!

It would be a shame to come to Polynesia and let seasickness prevent you from taking the best excursion on the island. On the one hand, you are in a protected lagoon with little swell and on the other hand, there are many stops on the beaches and at snorkeling spots. It would be better to bring seasickness tablets or patches behind the ears (very effective in general) to be able to fully enjoy your stay in Polynesia.

We take out the canoe when we have a minimum of 5 passengers that day (apart from private tours). As soon as the quota is reached for that day, we will notify you immediately. You will also need to consult the reservations table to find out if your tour is confirmed. Unfortunately, tours are often completed at the last minute and we cannot plan in advance. So, you will have to be patient, pray a lot and let God do things for you.
